Motorhead Vibrator Review: Ace of Spades Bullet
When Lovehoney contacted me to see if I was interested in reviewing something from the new Motӧrhead Official Pleasure Collection I jumped all over it. After accepting their offer, however, I had a little bit of reviewer’s remorse. I mean, come on, these are just cheap hard plastic vibrators with the price jacked up because they have a band’s name on them, right? It’s just a marketing ploy and it’s simply the novelty that’s drawing me in, right? And I totally fell right into it. I was Motӧrhead blind.
I chose the Ace of Spades bullet. I knew its small size would be a little underwhelming for a video review but I know my body and it prefers small clit toys as opposed to large vibrators. Regardless, I had already prepared myself do not like it and was trying to envision how awesome it would look sitting on my shelf.
After it arrived in the mail and the packaging indicated it was only powered by one AAA battery, I gave it some more serious side-eye. One measly AAA would never be powerful enough to stimulate my clit of steel that normally needs a jackhammer to get off.
Well, imagine my surprise when it got me off hard and fast.
It turns out this little Motӧrhead vibrator has a number of features in its basic design my body finds necessary for grade A orgasms. First, the power– that’s a no brainer for me. My clit only likes the strongest vibrations and this little guy surprisingly has it. They call Motӧrhead “the loudest band on earth.” Could this be the “the most powerful bullet on earth?” Maybe.
Although this bullet offers 3 speeds and a number of pulsating functions, I prefer the setting with no patterns but instead one steady rate of vibration. I usually go straight to the highest setting on most sex toys because low and medium are often lackluster. With this bullet I can start off on the medium setting and enjoy that for a few minutes until finishing myself off by switching it to high. The vibration is buzzy as opposed to deep and rumbly which I like, so bonus points there. In terms of sound, it’s not the loudest vibrator but not the quietest either. It would be difficult to hear while being used under the covers in bed. You’ll certainly never hear its buzzing if you’re listening to Motӧrhead.
The simple design was a big plus for me. The tip comes to a good point but is at the same time rounded which is the shape my clit adores. It’s made from ABS hard plastic so it’s non porous and can be used with any type of lube. It’s waterproof too. Additionally, the small, unassuming size of the Ace of Spades bullet makes it ideal for a solo quickie or easy to maneuver around during partnered sex. To top it off, the $24 price tag isn’t bad either.
What I love about this sex toy and the whole Motӧrhead line in general is the buzz it’s creating. It seems all of my facebook friends are talking about it— even ones that don’t normally show much interest in sex toys. Hopefully this will introduce both solo and partnered people to the joy of sex toys who perhaps may have not used them otherwise.
