What does it mean to be a switch in BDSM? This week Queen Ana Algos brings us into the world of switching. We talk about switch erasure–some people think switches don’t exist, they’re just confused doms and subs that haven’t picked a side yet, or that they aren’t really good at topping or bottoming because their heart is never really in it. Ana busts these myths and a lot more. Learn about switch drop, why cis men have a harder time indulging their switchy side, how to overcome switch imposter syndrome, plus we explore the ways kink education has changed during COVID and answer the much-debated question, can edgeplay safely be taught online?

Queen Ana Algos Bio

Queen Ana Algos is excited to be teaching with all these wonderful kinksters! She identifies as

an Ethically Polyamorous, Sadomasochistic, Pansexual, Black, Leather, Pro-Dominantrix, Collared Submissive, and Top Heavy Switch. Queen Ana is based in Southern California and works out of Sanctuary Studios LAX. She is also Ms. Sanctuary Leather 2020 and 2021.

Her specialties include Verbal Domination, Heavy Impact, Service, Degradation, Humiliation, CBT, Knife Play,  and hosting BDSM parties. At Sanctuary Studios LAX pre-pandemic, Queen Ana hosted two parties, the members-only party Club Inferno and the body-positive, performance-based party The ChamPAIN Room. She wanted a party that had an educational component to it so Club Inferno had two classes offered before the playrooms opened. The ChamPAIN Room was established as a body-positive, strip club, performance-based type of party. People are invited to perform on stage and the audience throws money at the stage and the money gets donated to the charity of the performers choice. The playrooms are open so people could play and see some wonderful acts that could include fire dancing, burlesque, pole dancers, strippers, drum circles, comedians, etc.

As a professional BDSM worker, Queen Ana enjoys talking to clients through Sext Panther and Niteflirt. She likes teaching because she enjoys talking to people and helping others feel welcomed and safe. BDSM education should not be a secret and she excels at making people feel accepted, important, and at helping people understand they have power, no matter what side of the slash they may be.
