Thanks for your interest in The Playground! This is an explicit NSWF area of the American Sex Podcast Discord server designed for you to post nudes, erotica, and engage in sexual online play. Please read the below carefully, there’s a lot here and it all impacts your standing in this community.
How is The Playground different from the rest of the server?
While graphic sexual language is allowed in the regular areas of the server, it must be used in a non-titillating manner. So, for instance, you can talk about piss play, extreme humiliation, sex toys, or whatever you’d like as long as it’s in an educational/conversational context (similar to how we talk about things on the podcast–very detailed but never in a way that’s meant to arouse). The Playground, on the other hand, is reserved exclusively for content intended to be salacious and arousing.
Who is allowed access to The Playground?
Any full-fledged member of the American Sex Podcast Discord Community ranked @AmericanFucker or higher is eligible to apply for entry into The Playground. Because member safety and comfort is our top priority, not everyone is automatically allowed in. Just like you wouldn’t open your door and allow curious strangers (or even acquaintances) into your orgy, we don’t allow people access to this area without a multistep screening process.
In addition to this, we reserve the right to deny entry or remove existing members at any time for any reason. While we don’t have to give you a reason for denial, they will fall along the lines of not following the rules, not respecting consent/boundaries, having a reputation of consent violations in other communities, being generally “creepy,” etc.
How do you gain entry to The Playground?
This is a two-step process. First, you need to earn enough tacos to buy your way in. Yes, you read that right! Tacos.
The Taco Economy
Our server has an economy and our currency is tacos. They are represented by the taco emoji. Every time you interact with others on this server you earn a certain amount of tacos–typically between 1-9 tacos per interaction. Every 3 hours you can work for more tacos too. Just use the .work command in #tacos to earn a little extra. The price for permanent entry to The Playground is 400 tacos.
The purpose behind the taco economy is it gives us a way to weed out those that have no intention of becoming contributing respectful members of our Discord family. In other words, it’s designed to keep the ‘creepy randos’ out. Those that try to buck the system by only liking others’ posts or by spamming comments that don’t contribute to the conversation will not be allowed in. The point of this taco earning exercise is to ensure you interact, make friends, and build rapport with those in our community.
Specifics on taco command and how to interact with them can be found in #playground-details or at the bottom of this document.
Mandatory Age Verification
Our second requirement is age verification. We have a legal obligation to do this (and an ethical one too). We don’t want minors to slip into our community. We also don’t want someone lurking among us who is pretending to be someone they are not.
After you have earned enough tacos to buy your way into The Playground, send a picture of yourself holding up a piece of paper with your user name, the server name, and the date written on it. Also hold up your government ID. Please blur out everything on your ID except your birthday and picture. We don’t want to have your personal information. Not even your legal name is required to be shown– just your face and birthdate. Email it to [email protected]. You will then be hand approved by a mod. This information will be kept confidential.
Why such tight security?
This is a place where people are sexually vulnerable and exposed. They need to feel as comfortable as possible. With that said, this is still the internet, and some people go to great lengths to deceive. Although members are not allowed to copy photos posted in The Playground, there is no way from a tech perspective we can prevent that from happening. We’re operating on the honors system here which means it is possible someone could break the rules. While we have tried to make this space as safe as possible, know you are posting nudes at your own risk.
Again, this is an exclusive community. That means you can be denied or removed–likely for one of the reasons mentioned above. This isn’t a popularity contest and we would never deny members based on personal bias. However, if someone in our community feels unsafe around you, that is reason enough for exclusion.
If you are denied entry, you do not reserve the right to know why. The comfort and safety of members is our first priority. That comes before what may feel fair to one individual.
Lastly, we felt it important to keep the naked play stuff separate so those that aren’t interested won’t accidentally see it. If the opt-in process is lengthy and intentional, it eliminates the chances of someone being exposed to something they didn’t consent to.
The Playground Rules
Like our general rules, this list is a work in progress. We’ll add and amend as our NSFW Discord community grows. Many of the same rules from the general area apply here. A recap of the genral rules are:
- No minors allowed.
- Don’t kink shame. Abide by “Your Kink Is Not My Kink But Your Kink’s OK.” We draw the line at non-consensual activities, underage, etc.
- No soliciting. Don’t advertise your business/services in channels or DMs. We are pro-sex work but this isn’t a place to engage in it. Catfishing, grossly misrepresenting who you are, and spamming are instantly bannable.
- Racism, anti-LGBTQ+ sentiments, ableism, body shaming, disrespect of pronouns, misogyny, anti-sex work, trolling, etc. will not be tolerated.
- Certain words that may be semi-acceptable in general company may be considered slurs here. Please review our language guide here: https://sunnymegatron.com/american-sex-podcast-discord-language-etiquette/. By agreeing to these rules you are also agreeing to abide by the guidelines in that document (note the caveats at the end of this document pertaining to language during play).
- No harassment whatsoever. This includes harassing others for play or sexual engagement.
- Ask publicly before you DM someone (i.e. consent is important)
- Don’t be a jerk. Don’t be creepy. Use common sense when it comes to your behavior.
These additional rules and considerations apply specifically to The Playground:
- When posting any photo in The Playground click “Mark as Spoiler” before uploading. This will blur your photo so someone has to click on it to view it clearly. Marking all photos as spoilers prevents members from accidentally opening the server in public and exposing others to explicit images.
- Put all extreme content in the #extreme channel. In addition, do your best to warn others about the specifics of what you’re posting. For instance, if you post erotica about violent sexual assault put a content note at the beginning of your story “CN: sexual assault.” If you are posting a picture depicting blood play, include the text, “CN: blood play.” You do not have to do this for everything and unfortunately there is no steadfast rule of which thing will or will not be triggering to see. A good rule of thumb is, if you think what you’re posting has a high likelihood of squicking a few people out, put it in the #extreme channel and use a content note. On the same token, we can’t content note everything or know everyone’s triggers. Remember, by opting into The Playground itself you’re consenting to seeing BDSM and sexually explicit images. If you come across something you’re not into, employ the YKINMKBYKIOK (Your Kink Is Not My Kink But Your Kink Is Okay) strategy and move on. Kink-shaming is not acceptable. Some of us have weird-ass fantasies & fetishes and this is a place to explore them.
- If you are posting erotica, upload the first 2000 words in the comments as a preview (2k words is the text limit for comments). Then upload a document (PDF, Word Doc, etc) containing your entire story. The upload file size limit is 8MB. This will give readers enough preview to decide if they want to download the rest of your story. You may also choose to link readers to your full story housed on a website, Google Drive, etc.
- When posting personal photos you must have the consent of all people pictured before you post it here. We do not support exposing others without their consent, revenge porn, etc.
- Do not stream porn here that is pirated. By doing this you are taking money out of performer’s pockets. It’s important to pay for your porn and support sex workers.
- If there’s someone here you want to play with, first review their roles to see if they are compatible with you. Then ask publicly if you can DM them or engage in sexual play in voice or chat channels. Do not pressure if they tell you no.
- Downloading photos from this NSFW Discord area is not allowed.
- You do not have to post photos or engage with anyone to be a part of The Playground. Some of us are shy or fall more on the vouyeristic end of the spectrum and that’s perfectly ok. If being a lurker who enjoys other people’s content is more your speed, you’re welcome here. Just remember to abide by the other rules of The Playground.
- A note about consent and play: we’re not going to walk you through how to negotiate scenes– there’s a lot of resources out there on that. And we’ll trust that you’ll sharpen your negotiation skills if needed. But remember, when you consent to a scene, you’re consenting to the plan/intent. You’re not necessarily consenting to the outcome. Scenes sometimes go wrong even if all parties involved have the best intentions. Be aware of that going in and commit to doing the hard work to deconstruct what didn’t go as planned and work toward an amicable resolution with all involved parties.
- A note about objectification: Objectification can be incredibly hot … with consent. Without consent, it can feel creepy. Don’t assume everyone that posts a pic of themselves wants to be objectified. Perhaps they never like it, maybe it’s ok only from certain people, or only in certain ways. In a space like this, you can’t always assume you know what someone prefers. To solve that issue– ASK. Respond with something like, “can I compliment your body?” or “can I tell you how I feel when I see that picture?” If you’re posting pics of yourself, let people know the types of responses you prefer. It’s doesn’t have to be as formal and robotic as “I will allow people to tell me in an explicit manner how hot I look in this photo.” The delivery can be playful. You can caption your photos with something like, “how hot do yall think this is?” or “If you could do whatever you wanted to me, what would it be?” ← see the difference? Until you’ve developed a rapport with a person and know what level of objectification they’re comfortable with, be mindful not to come on too strong. Another great rule of thumb is unless you know the person well enough to know what they prefer, refrain from complimenting them on something they have no control over. A compliemnt like, “that’s an amazing bra!” is a safer choice than “your body is amazing!”
