This event will take place on Sunday, April 29th from 12-5pm. We expect this event to sell out, so reserve your spots in advance!

This event is clean and sober, no alcohol, drugs or smoking allowed. It is open to anyone 18 years or older. IDs with proof of age will be required at door.

First, the food!
A BBQ will be part of this event. We will have food on the grill for meatatarians, vegetarians and vegans. If you want something special to grill bring it!

Next, the class!
TENS Units, Shock Collars, Violet Wands, Neon Wands, where do I begin? What do they feel like? Are there differences between each one? Can these toys bring sensual and erotic play to the bedroom? How will I use them in hard core BDSM scenes? Get the answer to all these questions and more when Ken and Sunny take you through the ins and outs of electrosex toys!

During the class, you’ll get to sample a number of e-stim toys along with a wide variety of their attachments and accessories. Whether you are new to electric play or a seasoned pro, you’ll get an overview of the basics and be walked through advanced techniques. We will learn about alternate uses such as fire play.

Finally, the PLAY!
After class you will have the opportunity to play, YAY!

About the Instructors
Ken Melvoin-Berg  is Chicago ‘s premier pervert and resident sexstorian. His vast sexual knowledge and dirty mind come in very handy when he covers subjects such as: Japanese Rope Bondage, Electric toy play, Balloon Bondage, BDSM 101 and Networking for Kinky People. His personal passion for all things sex includes, but is not limited to: fetishes, swinging, pornography, fetish films, gangbangs, the History of Red Light Districts and sex, prostitution, dungeons and orgies. And did we mention sex?

He has been involved in various sex industries from modeling, porn, owning an S&M dungeon, campaigning for sex workers rights, organizing kinky social events, raising money for AIDS charities to teaching adult sex education/kink classes for the last two decades. In addition to giving tours with his company, Weird Chicago Tours, and lecturing, he travels around the world teaching kink awareness to various private groups. New kink-friendly/sex positive classes are also in development for 2012. He is also responsible for the infamous Northwestern University Fucksaw incident when he was teaching his class Networking for Kinky People to the Human Sexuality class. No fucksaws were harmed during this event.

Sunny Megatron is a pleasure advocate, sex blogger, sexpert, adult sex educator and accidental superhero. Along with Ken, she is one of the infamous Northwestern Fucksaw Four and is the proud owner of that fucksaw heard around the world.

On any given weekend you can find Sunny hosting Red Light District Sex Tours and bachelorette parties for Weird Chicago Tours. She also teaches various sexuality workshops around the country including: Networking for Kinky People, BDSM 101, How to Give a Really good BlowJob, Exploring Non-Monogamy, ZAP! Electrical Play, The Female Orgasm, and Junk For Your Junk: Sex Toys 101.

Although Sunny covers various subjects, her specialties are the female orgasm and alternative sexuality— from LGBTQ topics to swinging, BDSM, nontraditional relationships, extreme toys, g-spot techniques and more. On The Edge, presents “Chips and Whips” an introduction to single tail whips, buggy whips and fun with food.

WHIPS: This seminar/playtime event will feature instruction and care of your whip. We will talk about the detailed differences in whips, length, type of leather, what the end of the whips are for etc. We will be instructing how to safely use them in BDSM scenes, we will not be doing any whip tricks or sideshow instruction.
CHIPS: Not California Highway Patrol (I know some of you children of the 80s were thinking oooh I get to be Ponch!), but actual food. We will be having all different sorts of potato chips and dips. We will also be making human chip bowls and human dip bowls, this gives double dipping a whole new meaning.

We will be playing games with chips, dips and whips in order to become familiar with the use of the single tails (Whip the Chip will be one game, guess where we put the chip?).

Bring a friend, bring a whip and please bring chips/or dip.

Class will conclude with open playtime at The Studio.

This event is 18 years of age and up, clean and sober. No drinking, drugs or smoking allowed in The Studio. It will take place on 6/20/12 from 8pm to 2am. Late comers are welcome, but we will be starting the class at 9:00pm sharp.

This class is a $20 donation and either a dip or a bag of chips (funky flavors appreciated).

Dress will be casual, street, fetish or Indiana Jones.

On the Edge is a BDSM educational series brought to you by Ken Melvoin-Berg and Sunny Megatron.  Events are hosted at the studio and are designed to let participants delve deeply into a variety of kinky subjects.  Each event is 3-6 hours long and incorporates classroom style instruction, hands-on learning and open playtime.  On The Edge events are also great opportunities to meet and network with other kinky folks.  Experts in each subject are brought in to teach portions of each class you you can get the best instruction possible.  

Some of the On The Edge classes that have been offered:  Zap!
